Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Central Takes a Loss

Aberdeen Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 63-54 to the Sturgis Brown Scoopers. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Scoopers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Aberdeen Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sturgis Brown, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Aberdeen Central will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Yankton at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Sturgis Brown will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against St. Thomas More at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
