Baseball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Paramus Catholic's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Paramus Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Hills Braves. The Knght Paladins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Braves from their previous meeting back in May of 2017.

Petros Rouggeris and Sebastian Joubert did some serious damage despite the final result: Rouggeris went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Joubert went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaysen Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Paramus Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Indian Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13-1.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Paramus Catholic will square off against Oratory Prep on Tuesday. As for Indian Hills, they will face off against Ridgewood at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
