Baseball Game Preview: Peotone Blue Devils vs. Lisle Lions

Peotone is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Lisle a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Peotone Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Lisle Lions at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Peotone fell victim to Chicago Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 6-0 to the Knights.

Peotone saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruben Velasco, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lisle suffered their closest defeat since May 6, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Timothy Christian by a score of 9-7.

Peotone's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lisle, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1.

Everything went Peotone's way against Lisle in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Peotone made off with a 17-7 win. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
