Softball Recap: Central Fellowship Christian Academy Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Oconee Academy, Central Fellowship Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flint River Academy Wildcats, sneaking past 8-7. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Ella Huddleston was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off 12 hits (and not a single walk). Huddleston was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season.

In other batting news, Central Fellowship Christian Academy let Abby Vesey and Anna Sweatt run wild. Vesey went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, while Sweatt got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI. What's more, Sweatt posted three hits, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Allyson Johnson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
