Millard South won the last time they faced Bellevue West and things went their way on Saturday too. The Patriots put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 14-6 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.

Ellie Gilpin was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Cindy Xiong, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Millard South's record now sits at 4-6. As for Bellevue West, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
