Soccer Recap: Cook Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Cook's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Bacon County Raiders get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Cook used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Bacon County. Stefano Gutierrez played for 70 minutes having averaged 46.1 this season and Daniel Holland got 50 vs. an average of 25.6. Gutierrez made the most of the opportunity, putting up two assists A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Cook's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Bacon County, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cook will welcome Tattnall County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tattnall County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cook surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bacon County, they will host Worth County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bacon County is facing Worth County at the right time seeing as Worth County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
