Baseball Recap: Laney Comes Up Short

Laney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 26-1 to the Thomson Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on March 4th.

Laney's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Thomson, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Laney is set to square off against their familiar foe Butler at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Thomson will take on rival Glenn Hills at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
