Eagle Rock had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Taft Toreadors 3-2 on Monday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered an 8-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

They hit Taft with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Maya Samayoa, Quinn Powell, and Abigail Velez.

Eagle Rock is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those ten matches. Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
