Basketball Recap: Everett Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Everett waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 59-48 win over the Tussey Mountain Titans. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Tussey Mountain saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Karah Husick went 5 for 11 on her way to 13 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Husick is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Adyson Weyandt was another key player, going 7 for 13 on her way to 15 points.

Everett's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.1 points per game. As for Tussey Mountain, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Everett will welcome Southern Fulton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tussey Mountain, they will square off against Fannett Metal at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
