Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Oak Grove Classical Academy lost against Menaul back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Menaul Panthers. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Menaul to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karlea Apodaca, who posted 14 points and eight assists. The dominant performance gave Apodaca a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Julie Robles, who went 7-for-12 to rack up 14 points.

Oak Grove Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Menaul, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Oak Grove Classical Academy has already played their next matchup, a 63-25 defeat against Jemez Valley on the 13th. As for Menaul, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-42 loss against Native American Community Academy/Evangel Christian Academy on the 13th.
