Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Takes a Loss

Montgomery County lost against Wheeler County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost 15-5 to the Bulldogs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montgomery County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Harvey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Montgomery County's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Wheeler County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Coming up, Montgomery County will be playing at home against Appling County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wheeler County, they will venture away from home to face off against Tattnall County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
