Softball Recap: Scottsbluff Comes Up Short

Scottsbluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Standing Bear Grizzlies.

Scottsbluff's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-14. As for Standing Bear, they moved to 16-15 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Scottsbluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Standing Bear, they will square off against Northwest at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
