Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Montgomery

Montgomery had won two straight games and Paula Zumstein did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Montgomery Aztecs blew past the Calexico Bulldogs 48-27 thanks in part to Zumstein, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Chrisdean Larsen, who posted a point along with 11 boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Montgomery's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Calexico, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Montgomery didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-29 victory against Central on the 30th. As for Calexico, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-37 loss against La Jolla on the 30th.
