On Friday, Canyon Crest Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Carlsbad and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, San Dieguito Academy entered their tilt with Vista on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Everything went their way against the Panthers as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by four goals or more this season.

San Dieguito Academy is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those ten contests. As for Canyon Crest Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Canyon Crest Academy opened the new year with a less-than-successful 3-1 loss to San Dieguito Academy. Can Canyon Crest Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
