After losing to Bullitt Central the last time they met, Washington County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Commanders came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Commanders.

Washington County found their leader in sophomore Hailey Willis, who had nine digs and two aces. Josie Hill also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Washington County's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Bullitt Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Washington County has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Bracken County on the 11th. As for Bullitt Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Heritage Academy on the 11th.
