Soccer Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Stagg has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kankakee Kays. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Stagg couldn't quite close it out.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4-2. As for Kankakee, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Stagg will be playing at home against Shepard at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kankakee, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Rich Township on the 16th.
