Fox fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Parkway West on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 5-4. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kara Huffman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Breanna Bone also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Fox's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Parkway West, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Coming up, Fox will host Lindbergh at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkway West, they will square off against Northwest at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
