Basketball Recap: Central Dauphin East Takes a Loss

Central Dauphin East lost a heartbreaker to Cumberland Valley when they met back in January of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Wednesday. The Central Dauphin East Panthers took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cumberland Valley Eagles. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Cumberland Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sienna Manns led the charge by putting up 11 points. Another player making a difference was Payton Basehore, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Central Dauphin East's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cumberland Valley, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-10 record.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Central Dauphin East Panthers face off against the Northeastern Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Central Dauphin East is facing Northeastern at the right time seeing as Northeastern is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Cumberland Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
