Baseball Game Preview: Ridgeland Panthers vs. Adairsville Tigers

Ridgeland hasn't had much luck against Adairsville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Ridgeland Panthers take on Adairsville Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Ridgeland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Ridgeland is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Adairsville.

Ridgeland got a good showing from Kase Stone, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stone has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Koltin Webb was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Bryson Duke also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Adairsville's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Ridgeland, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 8-6.
