Baseball Game Preview: St. Francis Knights vs. Walker Wolverines

The St. Francis Knights are taking a road trip to take on the Walker Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Francis will be strutting in after a win while Walker will be coming in after a defeat.

St. Francis took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out The Weber School 1-0.

Meanwhile, Walker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Fellowship Christian.

Joaquin Santos was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grant Addison was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Walker, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

St. Francis came up short against Walker in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, falling 7-3. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
