Soccer Game Preview: Don Lugo vs. Montclair

Don Lugo is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Bonita just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 6-2 to the Bearcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Conquistadores came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Bearcats are ranked 502nd).

Breannah Chaires and Brooklynn Cartwright scored both of Don Lugo's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Montclair was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Ontario Christian by a score of 1-0. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Montclair's loss dropped their record down to 6-3-1. As for Don Lugo, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1-2.
