Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Four

Victory Christian Academy extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Mai'ana Norita. The Victory Christian Academy Knights simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Bonita Vista Barons 62-14 thanks to Norita, who went 10-for-17 to rack up 25 points and five steals. Victory Christian Academy is 4-1 when Norita posts 25 or more points, but 7-12 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Kayley Abalos, who posted 14 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Syana Trotter and Shea Gonzalez certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Trotter had five points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals, while Gonzalez earned seven points and three steals. Trotter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Victory Christian Academy's record now sits at 11-13. As for Bonita Vista, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Victory Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-47 victory against Mater Dei Catholic on the 7th. As for Bonita Vista, they have also already played their next game, a 50-42 defeat against Olympian on the 7th.
