Softball Game Preview: Buena Vista Bison vs. Bellevue West Thunderbirds

Buena Vista is 0-3 against Bellevue West since September of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bison will square off against the Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. Buena Vista has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Buena Vista's offense. They lost 14-0 to Westview on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bellevue West got themselves on the board against Bryan on Tuesday, but Bryan never followed suit. They blew past the Bears 17-0. The Thunderbirds haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Brooklyn Phephles was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Tessa Zavala was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Bellevue West, their record is now 8-19.

Buena Vista suffered a grim 18-0 defeat to Bellevue West in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
