Soccer Recap: McDonough Takes a Loss

After flying high against Riverdale last Wednesday, McDonough came back down to earth. The McDonough Warhawks fell just short of the Union Grove Wolverines by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Warhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Wolverines are ranked 34th).

McDonough's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Union Grove, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

McDonough has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Stockbridge on the 4th. As for Union Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Ola on the 4th.
