Friona's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over the Dimmitt Bobcats. The Chieftans haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Friona had a senior duo take command as Aaron Rosales rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs and Jameson Daniels rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 72 yards.

Friona's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Dimmitt, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Friona and Dimmitt could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Chieftans (ranked 747th) will meet Slaton (ranked 350th) on Thursday. Meanwhile, Dimmitt will take on Idalou at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (800 vs. 133).
