Basketball Recap: Canyon Cowboys vs. Oxnard Yellowjackets
Canyon was the 70-64 winner over Oxnard when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Canyon Cowboys fell 63-55 to the Oxnard Yellowjackets on Friday. The Cowboys were down 54-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
When it comes to explaining why Canyon lost, don't look at Darby Dunn. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten assists. Dunn has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Shannen Wilson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.
