Baseball Game Preview: Drew Charter vs. Mays Raiders

Drew Charter will venture away from home to challenge the Mays Raiders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Drew Charter is leaving town to face Mays after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Drew Charter lost 18-0 to Walker on Friday. Drew Charter hasn't had much luck with Walker recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Mays had already won seven in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They blew past the Hornets 16-1.

Amari Robinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Montavious Fowler and Malicii Youngblood did most of the damage at the plate: Fowler got on base in three of his four plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI, while Youngblood got on base in three of his four plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. Brandon Muldrow was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Mays always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Atlanta only posted an OBP of .500.
