Soccer Recap: Portales Comes Up Short

Portales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Taos Tigers. Portales were not able to make up for their loss to Taos from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Portales' goal came courtesy of James Corder, who's now up to two this season.

Portales' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Taos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Portales didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Bloomfield on the 30th. As for Taos, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against St. Michael's on the 30th.
