Softball Recap: Pataula Charter Academy Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Pataula Charter Academy's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Marion County Eagles on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Pataula Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Marion County, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pataula Charter Academy will host Randolph-Clay at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.4 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Marion County, they will be playing at home against Crawford County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
