Softball Recap: Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Notre Dame suffered their biggest defeat since September 6, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Rockwood Summit Falcons, falling 9-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 8-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Notre Dame saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eloiza Marquez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Marquez has got this season.

Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Rockwood Summit, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will host Perryville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rockwood Summit, they will take on Ritenour at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
