Soccer Recap: Cloverdale Takes a Loss

If Cloverdale was riding high fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Elsie Allen back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cloverdale Eagles lost 6-1 to the Sonoma Academy Coyotes on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now lost five in a row.

Cloverdale's goal came courtesy of Isabel Ramirez, who's now up to two this season.

Cloverdale now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Sonoma Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which lines up perfectly with their 4-1-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cloverdale will take on Roseland University Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sonoma Academy, they will square off against Analy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
