Softball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Bulloch Academy

Tattnall Square Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Bulloch Academy Gators get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won 14 matches in a row dating back to last season.

Madison Malcom was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Malcom was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Hicks, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abigayle Baugh, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tattnall Square Academy will venture away from home to challenge Loganville Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bulloch Academy, they will head out to face off against Claxton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
