Softball Recap: Windsor Beats Lutheran for Their Fifth Straight Win

Windsor extended their postseason success on Saturday against Lutheran. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 6-1. For the Wizards, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Jenna McGinnis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maizie Maga?a, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Eisenmann, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

The win was the fifth in a row for Windsor, bringing their record up to 26-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lutheran, they moved to 23-5 with that loss, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Windsor nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
