Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Desert

Rosamond came into Friday's game looking for another win against Desert, but Destiny Hart wouldn't allow it. The Desert Scorpions came out on top against the Rosamond Roadrunners by a score of 45-37 on Friday thanks in part to Hart, who shot 5-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 boards. Hart is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Rosamond's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiley Perez, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Ariel Cain, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Desert's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Rosamond, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

Desert has already played their next contest, a 47-14 victory against Frazier Mountain on the 21st. As for Rosamond, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-10 win against Mammoth on the 21st.
