Baseball Recap: Edsel Ford Comes Up Short

Edsel Ford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jefferson Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-2 on Saturday.

Edsel Ford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edsel Ford will host Allen Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Grosse Ile at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
