Basketball Recap: Hayden Tolbert's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lancaster over Centennial

If Lancaster was riding high fresh off their 70-29 takedown of Western on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancaster Eagles lost 69-46 to the Centennial Golden Hawks on Friday.

Lancaster's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Tolbert, who posted 13 points and four steals. Tolbert is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Brianna SaMarion, who put up 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Centennial, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-32 win against Hoover on the 28th. As for Centennial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-37 loss against Immanuel on the 28th.
