Bear Creek scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Lakewood Tigers, falling 18-10. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Jasmynn Jimenez and Isabella Orozco stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jimenez went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Orozco went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Jimenez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylee Warner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Bear Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Lakewood, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Bear Creek will square off against Arvada West at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Lakewood, they will take on Valor Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
