Soccer Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Comes Up Short

Canyon Crest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Longhorns are ranked 204th).

Canyon Crest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Rancho Buena Vista, their win bumped their record up to 9-3-3.

Looking ahead, Canyon Crest Academy will square off against Carlsbad at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rancho Buena Vista, they will face off against La Costa Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
