Basketball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

Homestead lost against Hillsdale back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Homestead Mustangs took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while the FIGHTING KNIGHTS are ranked 168th).

This is the second loss in a row for Homestead and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Hillsdale, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Homestead will square off against Leigh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsdale, they will challenge Cupertino at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
