Preview: Harriton Rams vs. Conestoga Pioneers
The Harriton Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Conestoga Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Harriton has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Conestoga will arrive with 14 straight victories.
Harriton suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Haverford at home and fell 59-25. While losing is never fun, Harriton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Haverford is ranked 28th).
Conestoga posted their closest victory yet this season on Sunday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 32-30 victory over Academy-Notre Dame De Namur. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Conestoga has scored all season.
Conestoga found their leader in underclassman Ryann Jennings, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Isabella Valencia was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Harriton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Conestoga, their victory bumped their record up to 14-0.
Harriton was taken down by Conestoga 67-30 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Harriton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
