Softball Recap: La Junta Tigers vs. Southeast Colorado Angels
La Junta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Southeast Colorado Angels, falling 12-2. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Angels from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
La Junta saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madayln Tafoya, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.
La Junta's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Southeast Colorado, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. La Junta will challenge rival Rocky Ford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Southeast Colorado is set to square off against their familiar foe Alamosa at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
