Basketball Game Preview: American Eagles vs. James Logan Colts

The American Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the James Logan Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (American has nine straight victories, James Logan has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Thursday, American made easy work of Granada and carried off a 61-40 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, James Logan was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 53-48 to Branson.

American will need focus on slowing down Iwalani Lealao, one of several James Logan players who made an impact when they last played. She went 5 for 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Mauriah Mchenry, who went 7 of 17 on her way to 21 points.

James Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for American, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

American was taken down by James Logan 70-37 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point American was down 41-20.
