Baseball Recap: North Springs Takes a Loss

The North Springs Spartans didn't have quite enough to beat the Lakeside School Chiefs on Saturday and fell 12-11. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for North Springs and nudges their season record down to 9-17. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 20-8 Hope Christian Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 81.5% over those games). As for Lakeside School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 44-4 record this season.

North Springs will venture away from home to take on Tucker at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lakeside School, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Hope Christian Academy on the 12th.
