Soccer Recap: Woodward Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Woodward Academy won the last time they faced Chamblee and things went their way on Tuesday too. The War Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Bulldogs. That's two games straight that Woodward Academy have won by just one goal.

Woodward Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Chamblee, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Woodward Academy has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Lovett on the 8th. As for Chamblee, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Forsyth at 8:00 p.m. on the 15th. South Forsyth's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
