The MaxPreps State Coach of the Year has
led Oakland Tech to two state championships in the past four seasons,
defeating La Salle (Pasadena) 39-33 for the Division 3 state title. The Bulldogs also won the state Division 3 championship in
2019 and captured the NorCal D2 title in 2020 before the pandemic caused cancellation of the state finals.
