Soccer Game Preview: Cherokee Bluff vs. Mill Creek

Cherokee Bluff is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Mill Creek a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Cherokee Bluff Bears will be playing at home against the Mill Creek Hawks at 7:30 p.m. Cherokee Bluff will be strutting in after a win while Mill Creek will be coming in after a defeat.

Cherokee Bluff is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Gainesville on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-1 victory. The win was some much needed relief for Cherokee Bluff as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Mill Creek and Collins Hill, and Collins Hill kept the tradition alive. The Hawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1 on April 1st. While losing is never fun, Mill Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Collins Hill are ranked 17th).

Mill Creek now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Cherokee Bluff, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-14.
