Soccer Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Eastlake's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Eastlake kept a clean sheet against Mater Dei Catholic on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders out 1-0. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Crusaders are ranked 176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastlake's one-goal win came courtesy of Braleah Burris, who's now up to seven this season.

Eastlake is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-3 record this season. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3-1.
