Basketball Recap: Milpitas Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Milpitas lost to Leland back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for the Milpitas Trojans in a 47-32 win over the Leland Chargers.

Leading Milpitas to victory were Brennalyn David and Jovalin Victorino. David went 5 for 6 on her way to 12 points and eight steals, while Victorino posted 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 12 points gave David a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Little, who put up ten points and eight boards.

Milpitas' victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Leland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Milpitas didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-22 win against Palo Alto on the 18th. Leland will take on Silver Creek in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
