Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is York's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

York won the last time they faced Lakeview and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dukes put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 8-1 victory. Considering the Dukes have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ayanna Miller was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Andi Winterrowd, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

York has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Lakeview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.
