Rockmart dropped down to 9-3 on Thursday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 4-1 to the Sonoraville Phoenix. The match marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Sonoraville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games.

For Sonoraville's part, Lila Mullinax spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. Mullinax has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Lakelin Hall was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cadence Mulkey, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Rockmart will square off against Ringgold at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sonoraville, they will take on Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Phoenix's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
